Gilles Baud-Berthier
Director, Albert-Kahn Museum
Gilles Baud-Berthier is a historian and the Director of the Albert-Kahn Museum, which houses a collection of 72,000 autochrome plates and 172,000 meters of film dating from 1910 to 1931, commissioned by the Museum’s founder, Albert Kahn, with a focus on peace between nations. Mr. Baud-Berthier is a member of the editorial committee of the journal Matériaux pour l’histoire de notre temps (BDIC). He is also an author, translator and preface writer of articles and works on history and art. He is in charge of the contemporary Korean literature series for Éditions Picquier. Mr. Baud-Berthier is a member of the International Directorate for the Hauts-de-Seine department and its Asia representative, and has been in charge of the twinning project with China’s Jiangsu province for the last 10 years.
