  Paul Tar

Former Hungarian Ambassador

Born in Hungary, a country he would later represent as Ambassador to the United States (1991-1994) and to the Holy See (1999-2002), Paul Tar left Budapest after participating in the demonstrations of 1956 against the Soviets. Educated in France at HEC International Management School and Sciences Po, he has held a number of directorships for the BNP (Banque Nationale de Paris) in Europe, Asia and the United States. Ambassador Tar holds dual French/Hungarian citizenship.
